In this series of paintings, I’m thinking about what it means to live in a digital age. Interested in the vastness of cyberspace, I create surreal cyber worlds that emulate what this expanse could feel like. Information transmitted through the electrical pulse, an unseen liminal space. The subject’s digital counterpart will remain in motion even after the painting. Where the painting's path is to deliver its symbol, a stylized pictorial strength. To refine the visual taste, when all we have is visual overload.
The process of these compositions is a combination of modeling my own objects and scavenging for assets hidden in the cyber rip. Either way these objects enter my 3D modeling software where I see from all angles, all perspectives. I push, mold, move and light until I find the right frame. Then I get physical. I stretch and I paint.
