My work often centers around ideas of self expression and acceptance through mutual ove and affection. I have found that through my relationships with friends and loved
ones, I feel not only a sense of belonging but a confidence and appreciation for my own self: I am important because the people around me feel that I am important. My artwork
is a response to this romantic and platonic love and the joy of existing around others.

I use ink and watercolor as my primary mediums due to their fluidity and softness, creating a mixture of bold lines, subtle colors, and meandering shapes, that I build up in
thin layers to create a unified whole despite the contradictions. Typically I want my pieces to feel light and pleasant, so these will usually have a variety of shades of pink, yellow, and blue, though I often experiment with the more graphic style achievable with black Sumi ink. Altogether my work is characterized by soft colors and shapes, stark linework, and flowing forms.
